UEFA agrees to Barcelona’s special request
Barcelona has to play the first three matches of La Liga at the opponent’s ground. This is not usually seen for the champion team. However, due to the field crisis, Barcelona has to do just that. After two years, it was supposed to return to the renovated Camp Nou. But even though the new season has started, the field is not yet ready for play.

That is why the club has made a special request to UEFA, the governing body of European football. Catalonia’s popular sports radio program Tot Costa reported that UEFA has accepted Barca’s request. According to Tot Costa’s report, Hansi Flick’s team will start the Champions League in the 2025-26 season next month. Initially, it was expected that the renovation of the Spotify Camp Nou would be completed by then. Then Barca will play their first home match in European competition at their favorite field.
